Roasts of celebrities like Charlie Sheen and Pamela
Anderson became memorable for the comedy but importantly, for the
uninhibited way in which insult humour was portrayed to the world.
Taking inspiration, All India Bakchod, in a first of its
kind comedy show in India, released AIB Knockout The Roast of Arjun
Kapoor and Ranveer Singh on YouTube on Wednesday.
As 'roastmaster' Karan Johar himself said, "Let the
filth begin." The show, like all other roasts, has some of the best AIB
comedians making fun of Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. And
'making fun of' is an understatement.
From sex lives to dirtly toilet humour to digs at the failed
aspects of the two actors' careers, the comedians left absolutely no stone
unturned to make this roast as explicit as possible.
A good thing to see, however, is that no one was spared on the
show. From host Karan Johar, the comedians themselves to even stars in the
audience like Deepika Padukone, everyone was insulted on the show.
Although it did seem sometimes that the people on the show,
taking inspiration from the God of fake laughter Navjot Singh Sidhu, were fake
laughing a lot of times. This show is definitely a milestone for comedy in
India which would probably give a censor board member a cardiac arrest.
