LeT trying to infiltrate into India before Obama's visit, security hiked along the international border

New Delhi: Security has been hiked along the international border after specific inputs of an infiltration by Lashkar-e-Toiba trained terrorists into India ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit.

According to sources, second line of security has been enforced with 10 additional companies of Border Security Force being deployed along the border.

Meanwhile, the US has also warned Pakistan of any cross-border terror incident during Obama's trip and subtly indicated of "consequences" if any such attack is traced back to the country.

Obama will travel to New Delhi from January 25-27 and will attend the Republic Day parade on January 26. This is the first time that a US President will be attending India's Republic day parade.

The US and Indian security agencies are taking extra care for Obama as he will be on an open air platform at Rajpath for more than two hours, witnessing the parade.

The Indian government is also likely to break the Republic Day tradition this year by letting Obama, Chief Guest of the parade, to travel in his own car instead of travelling in President Pranab Mukherjee's car from Rashtrapati Bhawan to Rajpath.

Instead, both Presidents are expected to travel in Obama's car. The car, which is called 'The Beast', will have flags of both countries on it. The External Affairs Ministry has promised to make sure that Obama and his wife Michelle have a comfortable stay in India.
