It has been confirmed that Xiaomi will be launching its Mi 4
smartphone in India on January 28. Earlier, in an exclusive interaction with
IndianExpress.com, Xiaomi India head Manu Jain had hinted that the price of the
upcoming Mi 4 smartphone would be around Rs 20,000.
The Mi 4 smartphone is already listed on Xiaomi World and
the 4G version is priced at $379.99 which is around Rs 23,474. “India price of
most of our products are very similar,” said Jain in a report previously. However, given the fact that Xiaomi
likes to surprise its fans, we can expect the price to be less than that.
Xiaomi recently launched its Mi Note and Mi Note Pro smartphones at an event in
Beijing. The Mi 4 smartphone was released in July last year and Jain had
promised in December that Mi 4 smartphone will reach India by January 2015.
The Mi 4 smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS display with a
resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 441 ppi along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3
protection. It runs on a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU with 3GB
RAM. Running Android 4.4.3 KitKat operating system sugarcoated with MIUI 6, the
phone will offer a 13MP rear camera along with an 8M front camera. The rear
camera will support 4K video recording.
On the connectivity front, the phone will support 4G LTE
